| About Otomoto
Otomoto was founded in September 2003, after securing the distribution
of OS Giken products in Australia. Even though OS Giken had been in business in Japan for thirty years, this was the year that
the company first began direct distribution to overseas markets. In the
same year distributors were appointed in the UK and USA. Since then OS
Giken has become much more widely known in Australia, especially in the
import drag racing scene.
In October 2004, Otomoto became the distributor of HSD, introducing this
new Korean brand to the Australian market. As an OEM manufacturer
supplying various major Japanese companies, it was no surprise that HSD
coilovers were built to the same standard as popular Japanese brands.
Despite this, they remain one of the cheapest coilover suspension
systems available in Australia.
Around August 2005, Otomoto launched its own performance brand, KKR. This
line of turbos and turbo-related performance products began with the KKR
330, 430 and 480 turbos and now extends to silicone hoses, piping and suspension components.
Since 2007 Otomoto has also carried selected Rota wheels like the Grid and RB, while Koya Driftek wheels are available to order. Keep an eye on our Specials page for other new products as they arrive.
